Four years ago, on this very day, I came home from a long day at work to find this guy (along with my son and our two dogs) waiting for me on bended knee with the most beautiful ring, asking me to marry him.
Three years ago, on this very day, we did just that. Our wedding was so beautiful. Although we had been engaged for a full year before tying the knot we didn’t actually start planning until about two months before. As you can imagine it was pretty stressful and a little crazy, but we totally pulled it off with the help of family and friends. I often times find myself looking through our wedding pictures or watching our wedding video wishing that we could do it over again because the day just flew by so fast. I also find myself telling my husband at least a handful of times every year that we have to do it over again so that Isabella and Giovanni can be included – I mean, Anthony was co-best man at the wedding, it only seems fair that Isabella and Giovanni should get the honor as well!
As you can imagine, trying to celebrate an anniversary when you have three kids, two of whom are still in diapers, isn’t exactly romantic. Sure, I can leave the kids with family for a couple hours so we can go out to dinner but to be honest with you, I’m not sure I’m ready to leave my smallest baby just yet. That and I’m nursing so he is literally attached to me at any given point during the day (and night!). With that being said, we decided the best way to celebrate would be to take a family trip to Monterey. It would be perfect. We could take the kids for a stroll on Cannery Row and visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Maybe stop by the beach and let the two oldest kids run around.
We did all of the above and this was the best picture I could get in the Aquarium.

We have definitely had some fun times together in the last 9 years and I cannot wait to see what the next 9 years has in store for us.
