Can you even believe it has been half a year since Giovanni came into this world?? Time has just flown on by and it seems like yesterday when I was texting my husband my contraction times. I actually watched Gio’s birth story yesterday, for about the millionth time and its so hard to believe my little butterball was ever that small. Its only been 6 months and I’ve already forgotten just how tiny he once was.
At 6 months old Gio is able to sit up by using his arms as a prop in front of him for a few minutes at a time before he slowly falls to either side. He is much less interested in lying down, I think because he realizes that he can see so much more while sitting up. Specifically his big sister and brother fooling around. Its so funny because you can see him watching them while trying to propel out of our arms like someone breaking free from prison. I suppose he thinks he can do anything they do. He certainly wants to anyway! 🙂
Gio loves his bouncer, much more than Isabella ever did at this age. He is still a teething mess with no teeth to show for the pain. I’m hoping that will change very soon – not because I’m in a hurry for him to reach a new milestone, but because I know once they break through the gums I’ll get a little break before its time for the new ones to show up. Hehe.
I have officially started Giovanni on solids. His first food was avocado. I have the cutest pictures that I will be posting in the next week along with our got to recipe for homemade sweet potato baby food which will be his second food. I haven’t been consistent with his feeding only because at this time our only real goal is to introduce him to solids – at this point he is still mainly just nursing.
These are a few of my favorite photos of Gio from the last month.
I love going back through each monthly post every month to see just how much Giovanni has changed as time passes. He is growing up to be such a handsome little dude!!
As always, if you missed any of the previous monthly posts you can find them below.
