I think its safe to say that my family is a traveling family. In fact, these last two weekends have kept us away from home. Our first trip was to Disneyland and just this last weekend we traveled to Monterey.
Traveling with young children is far from easy. The amount of stuff I have to pack in order to avoid paying triple the price for something left behind is insane. And then there is the stroller issue. Isabella is 3 and enjoys to walk but isn’t quite ready to be completely without a stroller. Giovanni is not yet 2 and although he would love to run amok like a wild child, still very much needs to be strapped down into a stroller for my sanity’s sake.
When shopping for a double stroller that could potentially be my life saver, I initially picked a tandem style stroller. I had read review after review of parents complaining that their side by side double stroller didn’t fit through standard door ways and that wasn’t something I was prepared to deal with on my solo outings with the children. Unfortunately reviews for the tandem failed to mention that they were not the easiest to maneuver. Another downfall – the kids began fighting over who sits in the front seat. I started to despise the tandem double stroller and any outing that required its use.
That’s where the Maxi-Cosi Dana For 2 stroller comes in.
The Maxi-Cosi Dana for2 is a lightweight stroller that accommodates children from birth up to 4 years old (or 50 pounds). It offers everything from large baskets below, oversized peek-a-boo canopy’s to protect your children from the sun as well as a cup holder. The Dana for2 also comes with reversible and washable cushioned seating and reclines back for those inevitable cat naps.
Basically its heaven sent for any mom with two young children, be it twins or toddlers like mine. I really wish I would have known about this stroller from the beginning! I’ve used it pretty much every day since we received it and its been such a life saver. First of all, there is no more arguing over who gets to sit in the front… no more arguing!!
Its also so much easier to maneuver than the tandem. It actually has a handle in the middle of the two seats that you can control with just one hand (because you know my other hand is busy putting my coffee cup to my lips!).
Another important factor to take into consideration is the fold up aspect. Finding a stroller that is easily foldable is a must, especially if you travel often. No one wants to struggle for five minutes trying to figure out how in the heck to fold down their stroller.
All in all, I am really enjoying our new Maxi-Cosi Dana for2 double stroller and the kids love it too! Its such a sleek and nice looking lightweight stroller, whats not to love?
