Hello summer!
We have been keeping busy over this last month and having a ton of fun in the process. Just this last weekend we traveled to Southern California for a long weekend of fun at Disneyland!
This trip was probably one of my favorites to date. Our first two days at Disney were met with beautiful weather and far less crowds than we had ever experienced. It was so nice! No one felt rushed and my teenage son was able to keep his signature hoodie on most of the trip (insert mom eye roll here).
During our last two visits to Disney, my little man had become a little uneasy about rides in general and most definitely wanted nothing to do with any of the Disney characters. Now that he is a little older, he isn’t as afraid of rides and is much better with the characters. It was nice to see him actually excited to run to each new character with his signature book and hilarious to watch him throw the book at each character to sign. Of course Bella had the time of her life, as usual. She got to see almost all of her favorite Princesses, go on all of her favorite rides and she managed to sucker us for a Jessie doll from store right off the Toy Story Buzz Lightyear ride.
HOTEL
If you have ever travelled to visit a theme park that is not local to your area, you know that by the the end of the day, you are in desperate need of a shower and comfy bed to relax and catch some Z’s in. One of my favorite hotels in the Disneyland area is the Marriott Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance.
We travel to Disney often and have stayed here several times now. It is honestly one of my favorite hotels in the Disneyland area. This hotel is across the street from the Disneyland entrance (closer than parking for Disney!), has large rooms with awesome views and super comfortable beds with even better pillows than we have at home. We always book a double queen with bunk beds overlooking the pool area and have never been disappointed. The room comes with everything you need to be comfortable, including a table area for dining. The bathrooms were made with families in mind by housing two separate showering areas which is so helpful for a family of 5 like ours.
I love this hotel for so many reasons, I could literally write an essay about it. I’ll summarize quickly by mentioning that they have outdoor water slides in their pool area and a Starbucks in the lobby. 🙂
What more do you need to know, right?
This was suppose to be our last season pass visit to the happiest place on earth (as our annual passes were coming to an end), but we ended up taking Disney’s deal for $50 off each renewed annual pass so that we can continue the fun for another year!
I’m already planning our next visit, so if you have any questions for me about the park or road trippin’ with toddlers, let me know in the comments below!
This hotel looks amazing! I love the waterslides and any hotel has Starbucks in it is obviously a must for moms!
Your kids would LOVE the waterslides, they would never want to leave! lol
This looks like an amazing hotel! My son went to DisneyWorld with my parents last year but I really want to plan a trip to DisneyLand with him. He would be all over those waterslides!
I hope you are able to get your trip in soon!
what a beautiful hotel! And that splash park looks amazing! We are taking the kids to DL Florida in February and I’m so excited!
You guys will have a blast!
Wow! Sounds like a great place to stay. I always wondered which “off property” resorts were the best in Disneyland since they have such limited space. Parking is always a hassle. I’ll keep this in mind for my next trip!
This is definitely one of my favorite off property hotels nearby!
Does your hubby enjoy going as well? For some reason my husband is dreading Disney but loved Legoland? Any tips for keeping Dad happy?? Haha
Xoxo,
Jenny

You know, when we took our first trip last year, my hubby was the same way! I think once he saw how much my daughter enjoyed it, he was able to put her happiness in front of his unhappiness. LOL Plus, California Adventure serves beer! haha
we are heading out this way at the end of summer and this hotel looks perfect. esp since we are marriott reward members and very brand loyal to Marriott!
We are too! This has been my favorite Marriott hotel I’ve stayed at.
This looks like an amazing trip. I’m so excited for my kiddos to get old enough for a trip like this. Your babies are so cute. We do the stroller fans too.
Anhela
Thank you so much! The stroller fans are perfect for the hot Anaheim weather!
That hotel looks amazing! I want to stay!
You would absolutely love it!
That looks so fun and I love the hotel
It is! Perfect for families!
We want to go to Disney so bad! Those fans on the stroller are pure genius!
I hope you get to go soon! The fans are from Target! 😉
So much fun! I can’t wait to take my kids to Disney!
No doubt that they will love it!
This looks like an amazing hotel! We are hoping to go out to Disney Land soon so I will have to look into it!
The best part for us Disney families is that this is right across the street from the park entrance. No shuttle required! 🙂
Looks like you guys had an amazing trip! That hotel is beautiful, and how fun are those slides! My kids would love it there!
If I go to Disney I’m staying there
It looks like you had a BLAST! Wish I lived closer!
This place looks fabulous! I’ll be messaging you soon, because we are planning visit this fall or in the spring!
OK, that hotel is beyond awesome! I love the bunk beds!
Looks like is the best option to stay and it couldn’t be closer to the entrance to the park. Thank you so much for the recommendation.
We just booked this hotel for March and are super excited! Was is easy to head over there for naptimes? I will be about 5 months pregnant and I have a 2 year old that will need his daily nap, so I have been wondering.
It is so much easier to walk across the path for nap time then to get in a car or shuttle. This is truly one of our favorite hotels for that reason alone. Even though it is across the street from the theme park entrance, it is still quite a walk so just keep that in mind. I hope your family has the best time there!
