The Best Time to Be a Kid: Our Holiday Traditions

in Family, Holidays, Kid's Fashion, Lifestyle, Mom Life, Style on 07/11/17

Disclaimer

The holiday season is upon us and I couldn’t be more excited.  I’ve always loved everything about this season, but it is SO MUCH better when you have little ones in your home.  The holiday season is seriously the BEST time to be a kid!  Watching their excitement as we walk into a store that has just started advertising for the holidays is the best.  Their eyes are so big and their squeals are the cutest.

Last week, we started our holiday traditions a little bit early.  In fact, the moment that Halloween ended I had my oldest son bring in our Christmas tree!We also started working on our gingerbread houses.

Isabella remembered doing this last year, so when I told her we would be doing it again she was ecstatic!  Gio was too little to remember, but it sure didn’t stop him from diving in.  He thought it was so cool to decorate his gingerbread train – but the moment he got a taste of the frosting it was over.  His gingerbread train crumbled to pieces while he tasted the frosting until I finally took it away.

Some of our other holiday traditions with the kids include:

  1. Writing letters to Santa
  2. Counting down to Christmas
  3. Go Holiday “light-seeing”
  4. Bake cookies for friends, family and of course, Santa
  5. Wear matching pjs
  6. Watch Christmas movies
  7. Visit the snow

The list is endless really.  No matter your family’s holiday traditions, it’s important to look the part!  Luckily for us parents, Gymboree has the cutest designs for kids at affordable prices.  They have everything from snow gear to twirly dresses – really, you need not look any further when it comes to holiday dressing!  We recently shopped at Gymboree for some of our favorite holiday wear. You know I’ve done well when both the kids are excited about their new gear!

I love these outfits specifically because they are perfect for everyday wear during the holiday season! Whether it is a day of fun adventures, or a day of cozy snuggling up indoors… they have something for everyone!

One of my favorite things about Gymboree. is the amount of quality detail that goes into their clothing.  If I’m being honest, I think all the little details are what attracts my daughter to their brand.  She is in love with her cupcake clips and purse and thinks that the snowflake detail on her tights is the coolest thing ever!

Gio is super into pockets right now.. he loves to put his hot wheels in them for safe keeping!  The vest was definitely his favorite pick from his new clothes.

When you are shopping for kids clothes this holiday season, be sure to check out Gymboree for styles that will keep your kids smiling!  Want to shop Isabella and Giovanni’s looks?  I linked them for you below!

Isabella:  Hair clips || Purse || Dress || Coat || Tights || Boots

Giovanni:  Beanie ||  Sweater  ||  Vest || Pants || Socks || Shoes

I’d love to hear about your family holiday traditions and what outfits you would choose for your family’s special holiday moments in the comments below!
