Happy March, friends!
March is such a fun month. My kids look forward to celebrating St. Patricks day while I look forward to the first day of Spring… and hopefully with that, some warmer weather! I recently found out that March also has the honor of being National Nutrition month. To celebrate, I have gathered some of my favorite healthy snacks that are perfect for the whole family!
Brew Dr. Kombucha Lately I’ve been hearing so much about the benefits of kombucha probiotics, but I had never got around to trying it for myself until last week. So what is kombucha? Kombucha is fermented tea (without the alcohol) that contains live and active ingredients. Its 100% raw, probiotic and unpasteurized. Its also low in sugar and calories but great on taste! I received two flavors from Brew Dr. Kombucha, Clear Mind and Herbal Uplift and I’d have to say that although I enjoyed both flavors, my favorite is their popular Clear Mind drink because I love subtle rosemary and sage flavor it has to it.
JOLLY TIME Simply Popped Pop Corn I don’t know about you, but I am a huge snacker. Huge. Back in November I went gluten free and finding snacks to support my new diet has not been the easiest. Sure, I can resort to fruits and veggies, but they are such a huge part of my diet as it is, sometimes I’m looking for something a little sweet or salty but still healthy! JOLLY TIME Simply Popped Pop Corn is the perfect healthy snack option during those times for me. Its a quick and easy snack that is not only gluten free but also contains only four simple ingredients – butter, sea salt, popcorn and oil. Its definitely my preferred brand over others because the taste is so delicious!
nutpods Dairy Free Creamer My husband wakes up super early each morning for work and never leaves home without a cup of coffee in the morning. I’ve recently switched out his high calorie creamer for these sugar-free and plant based nutpods Dairy Free Creamers without telling him and on the first day he could tell something was different, but not in a bad way. He actually really loved the new flavor he was tasting! Out of the three flavors we have tested out (French Vanilla, Hazelnut and Original) his favorite is the French Vanilla. If you are looking for a healthier creamer to add to your cup of morning Joe, definitely consider these! Right now you can use BABBLE20 to save 20% off your purchase from the nutpods Dairy Free Creamer website (valid March 12-April 12th).
Sprout® Organic Crinklez These are my favorite on the go gluten free snacks for my kids (and let’s be honest, I love them too!) We have long been fans of the Sprout brand so it was of no surprise that these were such a hit with my kids. Staying away from sugar filled snacks is sometimes very hard so I’m thankful for snacks like these that are plant powered for a fun crunch that my toddler’s love! They are currently available in Cheesy Spinach and Pumpkin Carrot flavors (my favorite is the Cheesy Spinach!).
JUNKLESS Chewy Granola Bars My kids are obsessed with these granola bars! JUNKLESS Chewy Granola Bars make for a wonderful healthy, non-GMO after school snack as they don’t contain any artificial preservatives, colors or flavors, hydrogenated oils or high-fructose corn syrup. My oldest son’s favorite flavor is the The JUNKLESS Cinnamon Roll Chewy Granola Bar. He says that its like eating an actual cinnamon roll (little does he know its made from mostly oats!). My daughter’s favorite flavor is the JUNKLESS 100% Real Strawberries bar and my youngest son is obsessed with the JUNKLESS chocolate chip bar. You can find all of our favorites over on Amazon and find out more about these yummy bars on their website.
Have you tried any of these healthy options recently? I’d love to hear what you think about them in the comments below!
