It’s not everyday that you get to photograph good friends, but when the opportunity arises, you do it!
A good friend of mine moved away a few years ago. Since then, she has become a wife and a mother to two beautiful boys! We don’t get to see each other often anymore, but when we do, its like old times. We crack the same old jokes and laugh the same laughs we use to do together years ago. She recently asked me to photograph her youngest son during a trip she made back to town and of course I obliged.
Little did we all know that my sister-in-law would go into labor the day before or that I’d spend the following 24 hours at the hospital with her, capturing the birth of my newest niece. After resting for a few hours I was still determined to get pictures for my friend. They weren’t exactly what we had in mind, but in my opinion, we got something better.
Lifestyle pictures have always been my favorite. I feel like they tell a story of who we are and really, make the best memories to capture on camera. I mean, just check out Grandma with her grandsons!
I truly believe that families everywhere should book at least one lifestyle shoot with their family. Whether its in your home or at your favorite park… go somewhere that is meaningful to you and your loved ones and have someone photograph you in your element. You will be amazed at how much joy the photos will bring to you!
